Year 9 is such an exciting year full of opportunities and decisions.

This is the year when you make your option decisions for GCSEs and beyond.
The data from your first assessments is used in helping us make decisions about your option choices for GCSE so make sure that you are giving your best efforts from day one.

Year 9 also is the time when you will get opportunities to work with lots of outside groups. In 2014-15 we had winners in the Wigan Enterprise Competitions as well as all of our very successful sports teams. Get involved!

The Sports Leader applications and appointments are a part of Year 9 and this is a most prestigious position that brings rewards in terms of the service to school you provide but also in terms of all of the Vivos you get!

There are lots of other opportunities to show us your leadership skills. New this year is the Future Leaders programme.  Miss Rees and Mrs Barnes will be giving you information about how to register. Future Leaders will be involved in the Open Day, Year 6 transition and Options Evenings.  This will help prepare you for the applications and interviews for Head Boy and Girl and their teams in Key Stage 4 (you also earn lots of Vivos!).

As always, your first port of call with any questions is your form teacher:
