On the 19th June 2019, both students and staff from the Music, Drama and Art department came together to show off their work and perform in the Summer Arts Celebration Concert. Art students had their fantastic artwork on display in the Dinner hall, with the gallery attracting many people who wanted to appreciate the hard work and effort that was put in to completing the final pieces. Later into the night, the concert started with a bang from the Year 12 Rock School Band who performed Bohemian Rhapsody and Feeling Good.
We were also greeted by two fantastic performances by the KS3 Drama Club and a Year 9 Drama Class, who raised serious issues involving climate change, and incorporated these issues into a moving performance. The night was topped off by a magical performance by the St Mary’s Choir, who Sang Shallow from the film ‘A Star is born’. The Summer Arts Celebration Concert was a truly fantastic night for the whole school and one that will be remembered as part of the schools recent history.
