Year 12 Welcome Evening
Last night parents of our Year 12 students were invited in to discuss all things Sixth Form. Despite the miserable weather outside the Drama theatre was packed as Mr Robinson delivered a talk about Sixth Form life. He spoke about the new personal tutoring system and the proven success of the VESPA model which has been adopted. He also spoke about how to get the most out of every college day whilst maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Mr Rayner shared information on destinations, how to be successful this year and what support is available. The talk was rounded off by discussing the importance of good attendance, key dates through the year and what advice our Year 13 leavers would offer to our new students!
Parents were then invited into different workshops where our skilled staff shared further information on UCAS, pastoral support and careers guidance. There was a fantastic atmosphere in the Sixth Form and a real buzz as parents, staff and students worked together to really make the most of the year ahead.
