What a Welcome Conference!
Year 7 students have spent the last two days climbing, reflecting, singing, orienteering, thinking, running, trusting, laughing, smiling and pushing themselves to be their best. On their Challenge Day at Howe Bridge they have tried a range of new things and ensured that they have pushed themselves out of their comfort zone.
On the Retreat Day they have listened and reflected with Animate Youth Group on what it means to be a Catholic student and how they can be their best. We have been tremendously proud of all that they have achieved through their hard work and excellent efforts. The Conference was topped off with a magnificent Mass at St. Joseph’s in Leigh. Students read, sang, signed and prayed together in a celebration of their transition to secondary school. We were delighted to see so many parents and also so many primary Headteachers there in support of the journey that the children have undertaken. Year 7 truly rose to the challenge of being their best!
