Year 10 Heroes
Year 10 students received an inspirational start to the new academic year with the company Humanutopia. As part of the 'Who am I Day?' students reflected on their barriers to who they truly want to be. They were asked what really makes them happy; discussed how to become more confident and had opportunities to interact and support others positively. The day had a remarkable impact on the majority of the Year group who, later that week, pledged their support to continue the premise of the day. These students stood up in assembly to commit their full support to making positive changes from now and being the best version of themselves as they possibly can.
These students are our St Mary's HEROES (we are extremely proud of them) - they are easily identifiable as they are wearing silver ties and are a shining example to others of kindness, hope and endeavour to do well. The heroes will go on to work with Humanutopia further in October and will have opportunities to grow their leadership skills this year before swapping their tie for a gold one in Year 11!
