Miss Wall’s Visit to Tanzania

Miss Wall left our school last year to follow her calling from God which was to help children and the less fortunate. On the 12th July she came back to St Mary’s to tell us all about her experiences in East Africa.

Miss Wall spent six months working in a Primary School in Tanzania and on her days off she spent time working with Children in an orphanage playing games with them, singing and putting smiles on their faces.

Her talk was very inspirational, I realised how different their lives are to mine. It made me think about how lucky I am to have even the smallest of things like fresh water and toilet paper! We should never take anything for granted. Sometimes we take our education for granted but some children in Tanzania do not have the chance to go to school, it made me appreciate how fortunate I am.

Thank you so much Miss Wall, your talk definitely made us think about the importance of helping others.
