Young Writers' 'Stranger Sagas'

Earlier this year, our students were invited to enter the annual Young Writers’ ‘Stranger Sagas’ competition. The competition was organized in conjunction with secondary schools all over the UK in an attempt to encourage young adults to enjoy creative writing. The editors were wowed by the standard of entries this year and learnt to expect the unexpected!

This year, the 27th year the annual competition has been run, in excess of 20000 entries were received and, of those 20,000 entries, 32 of St Mary’s mini sagas were chosen for publication, which is testament to the sheer creative talent of many of our students.
