The Y7 Rugby team continued their strong start to high school competition by winning their latest fixture 32-20 at St Edmund Arrowsmith
Attendance at training has been excellent all year and the number of games has allowed many students to play a sport that is new to them. Thomas Haseldine was the latest player to make his debut after earning his place through regularly attending training and showing a willingness to listen and develop his game.
As for the match, after being 10-0 behind very early on, the boys showed a lot of character to turn around their slow start to the game, winning 32-20. Halfbacks Ben Tyrer and Jack Edge controlled the game with Jack scoring a hat-trick of tries. It was a real team effort though with much stronger defence on show and the boys will now move on to the next game knowing they have much to improve on.
