A Level Malaga Trip
Over the February half term Miss de Boer and Mr Lloyd took 6 A Level Languages students to the sunny Spanish region of Andalucía for a 5 day educational visit to immerse ourselves in the language and typical Andaluz culture! After arriving at Málaga airport and settling into our hotel, we toured the city and sampled some typical Andalucían food in the Spanish sun.
On Thursday we spent the day in a Spanish international school taking part in lessons, making lots of new friends and having lunch together practising our language and learning new words- we hope our Spanish friends will come to Manchester soon on an exchange!
Friday was a sightseeing day with a trip to Gibraltar, a focus topic of the exam, where we visited the monkeys at the top of the rock and they climbed all over us!!
On Saturday we made our way along the Costa del Sol coastline, to Fuengirola to visit some Spanish 'Pueblos Blancos' and even squeezed in a game of Volleyball on the beach in the 25degree sun! Later that night we were lucky enough to be in town to experience the famous Carnaval de Málaga!
A fantastic trip was had by all and lots of Spanish spoken, and we returned on Sunday tired but ready for our speaking exam after a fun filled intensive 5 days preparation!!
