The library is open every school day for students and staff. Any student can use the library before school, at breaktime or after school.

Sixth form students are welcome to use the library for quiet study during their free periods when lessons are not scheduled in the room.

  • Careers section including prospectuses and specialist careers support
  • Shelf Help selection of books focusing on mental health
  • 20 computers with printing facilities
  • Study desks
  • Comfortable seating area
  • A full-time librarian
  • A range of clubs including board games club and homework club
  • Homework support

Borrowing books

Books can be borrowed for two weeks and renewed up to three times. Each student can borrow two books at a time.

Using the library from home

Students can access the library catalogue and search the books available. This can be found by clicking the book logo at the top of this page.

They can also access the St Marys Home Library, which is a curated collection of webpages to help students with homework and wider reading. There is a link for this on the news section of the library catalogue.
