Student Portal
The Bromcom Student Portal provides access to your Timetables, Attendance, Exam Timetables, Calendar, behaviour and more.
Much of this is available through Edulink One, but we plan to phase out Edulink One by Summer 2025.
You can access the Student portal either from a web browser on any device or via an app on a smartphone. Setting up the app is a one time process, so please follow the guide below to set it up.
Logging in to Student Portal using a web browser
- Log on to https://vle.bromcomcloud.com
- Click Log in with Microsoft Account
- Enter school email (remember to include @st-maryshigh.wigan.sch.uk) and your school password
Setting up Student Portal on a smartphone
This only has to be done once. Once set up, you log in to the app with either a PIN (which you set up in the guide below), or by using your phone’s biometric authentication (Face ID or fingerprint).
Download and install the Bromcom Student App from your phone’s App Store

When you start the Bromcom Student App you may be asked for permission for the app to send you Push Notifications, click “Yes” to these. When prompted, choose a 5 digit PIN code.

Depending on your phone, you may be asked to enable Biometric authentication (FaceID or fingerprint), so you can logon with these methods rather than having to type your PIN. Then click the green Magic Link button
Then enter the school id (11344) and your email address (your username with @st-maryshigh.wigan.sch.uk after)
The app will then say that the Magic Link has been sent to your email address.
You then need to open your school email ON YOUR PHONE. You cannot open the email on another device or it will not work.
There are two ways to do this:
- If you already have the Microsoft Outlook app installed on your phone and set up to see your school email, just open Outlook and click on the link in the email you have just received.
- If you do not have Outlook installed, then open a browser on your phone and type in outlook.office.com in the address bar. Then log in using your school email address and password.
Once you are logged in, open Outlook and click the link in the email you have just received.
Please note that the Magic Link will only work for 24 hours, after which you will need to ask for a new one.
The Student App is now set up on your phone.
