Letter to Parents - Summer Term 2026
Dear Parents/Carers
As the warmer weather approaches, we would like to kindly remind all parents and guardians of the importance of ensuring that their child comes to school prepared for the heat.
It is essential that students being a refillable water bottle to school every day. We have water refill stations in our dining hall where students can refill their water bottle in the morning before school, during break and lunch. Staying hydrated is crucial to help maintain focus and support well-being during the school day.
Additionally, with the sun shining brighter at this time of year, we encourage all students to apply sun cream before coming to school to ensure they are protected during break and lunchtimes. A sun hat can also be worn when outdoors.
On our return after the half-term break adaptations to our summer uniform come into place: students do not need to wear a school tie, jumper or their blazer and tailored shorts may be worn instead of trousers and skirts. Otherwise, our uniform standards remain - jewellery, acrylic nails, false eyelashes and trainers should not be worn and will be challenged. Please wait until the start of the summer holidays before any piercings are done as we will expect them to be removed. We still expect students to come to school prepared with an appropriate school bag and equipment for learning. Thank you for your continued support and have a lovely half-term break.
Your Sincerely
Mrs D Brahms
