Foundation Governor
Overview
St. Mary’s Catholic High School and Sixth Form College currently has a vacancy for a Foundation Governor. Foundation Governors are appointed by the Archdiocese of Liverpool to preserve and develop the Catholic character of the school. They contribute their time and expertise to help shape strategic direction, ensure financial accountability, and support the leadership team in achieving excellence in teaching and learning.

Previous governance experience is beneficial but not essential. More importantly, we seek individuals who are practising Catholics, with a commitment to Catholic education, a willingness to learn, attend training events and has the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. We are keen to increase diversity within all aspects of our school community, and would particularly welcome applicants from ethnic minority groups.

We will then arrange for you to be sent a nomination form. In the event of multiple applicants, the Chair alongside a member of the clergy will shortlist and assess the skills offered.
