I am proud of the Sixth Form at St. Mary’s and the opportunities it provides for our students. It is a vibrant, supportive learning environment underpinned by the school's mission statement, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." This demonstrates our commitment to developing well rounded, self-assured and well qualified individuals who are well prepared for the exciting challenges as they leave us.
As the Head of Sixth Form, I am responsible for leading and managing the Key Stage 5 team with a focus on curriculum, tracking progress, pastoral care and supporting transition. The wider team includes a Pastoral Manager and a Head of Year, who work closely with the school pastoral and careers teams to ensure all students meet their potential, get the grades they deserve and have a clear plan when they leave us.
The Sixth Form team work closely with our colleagues in Key Stage 4 to ensure that the transition to the Sixth Form is smooth and informed. We also work with external candidates to ensure that they feel settled and comfortable in their new surroundings. This supports every student to achieve success and happiness in their studies.
The Sixth Form at St. Mary’s is unique:
- We deliver high class teaching which ensures excellent results
- We support students both academically and pastorally
- Our curriculum offer allows students to choose from a wide variety of A Level and vocational courses
- Our Level 2 courses ensure we can offer a pathway to all students
We have an Open Evening each Autumn but I am happy to answer questions or meet with prospective students and their parents throughout the year. Please get in touch: Contact us
