Everyone within the community of St Mary’s Catholic High School wishes to congratulate our Year 13 and Year 11 students on their examination results.

We all know that these are unprecedented times for us all, but the group of young people that have felt this the most are the students who are in Years 11 and 13.
They have not only been denied the opportunity to test themselves in an examination series that they worked so hard for but also lost many rites of passage in the journey to adulthood.
The last 6 months have been times of anxiety and worry for these students which has only been compounded by the events of the last week.
Today is the time when the uncertainty can end and we are proud to be in school to share our students’ successes but also provide advice, guidance and support face to face.
The grades that the students receive today are the culmination of 5 years of hard work and we offer every best wish as they move on to the next phase of their life and a return to normality at St Mary’s Sixth Form College, or whichever destination they choose.

Requests received during or just before school closure periods will not be able to be responded to within the one calendar month response period. This is because no one will be on site to comply with the request. As a result, it is unlikely that your request will be received during this time (and so the time period does not run until we receive the request). We may not be able to acknowledge your request during this time (i.e. until a time we receive the request) and the time period may not start until the School re-opens. The School will endeavour to comply with requests as soon as possible and will keep in communication with you as far as possible. If your request is urgent, please provide your request during term times and not during/close to closure periods.
