St Mary’s celebrated World Book day this year with a “Get Caught Reading” competition.

Students were seen all round school reading during social time. Those that got caught by a member of staff were entered into a prize draw. The first prize was a chocolate hamper. Mrs McInnes received hundreds of entries, and after school, Mr Dawson drew the 7 winners. They were all very happy to receive their prizes. There was a really nice atmosphere around school, with staff seeking out students who were reading, and students trying to get caught.
We also had a quiz and 5 winners have been picked from students who got all the questions correct.

Requests received during or just before school closure periods will not be able to be responded to within the one calendar month response period. This is because no one will be on site to comply with the request. As a result, it is unlikely that your request will be received during this time (and so the time period does not run until we receive the request). We may not be able to acknowledge your request during this time (i.e. until a time we receive the request) and the time period may not start until the School re-opens. The School will endeavour to comply with requests as soon as possible and will keep in communication with you as far as possible. If your request is urgent, please provide your request during term times and not during/close to closure periods.
