Y10 Students take part in Humanutopia.
On Thursday we welcomed back Humanutopia, this time to work with our Year 10 students. This is the third time that the company has worked with our students. They worked on developing self-belief and self confidence in students and encouraged them to be themselves and achieve their dreams. The students worked on setting their own targets and to be mindful of our actions and how these can affect others and their confidence and happiness in school.
Many students have signed up to “the hero’s journey”; and this will be followed up with training which enables the students to become young leaders both in school and in their community. Over 100 students from the year group have applied to become a “hero” or have been awarded the status (silver tie) which means they have volunteered their own time to try and support other students within St Mary's with all aspects of school life.
It was a great day where St Mary's students once again showed their amazing confidence and maturity in their interactions both with the company, staff and importantly other pupils.
